Two best friends who were passionate about food opened Cocoa & Rose on September 8, 2014. After over a year, Marian and her son Jack, took over the café and continue to serve great coffee and light meals.
Serving all-day breakfast and all-day lunch, Cocoa & Rose is unique in bringing people with the same interests together, creating a little community within a community. It’s not only about great food and great coffee, it is also music, language, and community that define Cocoa & Rose. It hosts a French meet-up group every Saturday where members learn the French language over a cuppa, and brings together classical and jazz musicians to make music amongst themselves and for the diners. ‘We serve you with a smile’ is a motto the team upholds.
Cocoa & Rose is a great place to meet up with friends or hang out with colleagues. The family owners are musicians so don’t be surprised when you hear a light, high voice humming a classical tune (Marian is a soprano), or a perky rhythm pattern tapped on the counter table (Jack is a rock drummer).
